BlackBerry 8707 does not currently support direct HTTP or TCP/IP for BIS Website : Refer : Review It
Problem The BlackBerry 8707™ does not currently support direct HTTP or TCP/IP connections to the Internet using a carrier's gateway. If an application is attempting a direct HTTP or TCP/IP connection, the following error appears: Protocol not found: null Note: The above error indicates that the protocol is not supported. Resolution Complete either one of the following steps: 1. For the HTTP connection to the Internet, the application needs to be leveraged to use BlackBerry Enterprise Server™/BlackBerry Mobile Data System™ (BlackBerry MDS™). For more information on how to leverage BlackBerry Enterprise Server connections, see the BlackBerry Application Developer Guide Volume 1 or the Javadoc™ for javax.microedition.io.Connector. OR 2. If you do not have a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the application needs to be modified to use the BlackBerry Internet Service™ gateway that is hosted by Research In Motion®. Currently, the BlackBerry Internet Service connection model is only available to registered BlackBerry® Alliance partners. For more info on joining the BlackBerry Alliance program, see the BlackBerry ISV Alliance Program web site.
