 Description: Compass is a Wireless Document Access System that enables BlackBerry users to retrieve documents located behind the corporate firewall based on a user's Active Directory login credentials.
The Compass Package is installed on the BlackBerry handheld and provides the ability to access, route, fax and print a variety of document types such as .doc, .xls and .pdf formats stored in shared and personal directories as well as third party repositories.
As with other InfoEdge On-Demand Packages, a Content Connector specific to Compass serves as a gateway between the Compass Package and corporate document stores. Content and Network Managers control access policies, monitor document access status, set up file stores and printers for remote access, and entitle user access either individually or in groups.
